Castellano & Carpenter Dental Associates, PC

Dr. Castellano completed his undergraduate training in 1986 at St . Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas. He graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in biology. Upon graduation he attended the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston and received his DDS degree in 1990. Dr Castellano then completed a one-year residency in advanced general dentistry and later a two year residency to specialize in pediatric dentistry. Both were competed at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas (UTHSC-SA).

Dr Castellano is a member of numerous professional organizations. Some of these include the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Laredo District Dental Society, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (where he serves on the council on clinical affairs), Texas Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (where he serves as co-chairman for the continuing education committee).

Dr Castellano is an Assistant Clinical Professor for the department of pediatric dentistry at UTHSC-SA Dental School. Monthly, he travels to San Antonio to teach and assist the pediatric dental residents with their training. He has authored and co-authored several publications in dental literature as well. In November of 2004, Dr. Castellano was chosen by the Texas Monthly magazine as a "Texas Super Dentist".
